The Alpine Discovery Festival is an annual event which promotes the area. The three day festival incorporates three of the year's most well known events; The Hinnomunjie Races,  The Up-the-Creek Discovery Festival and the Tambo Valley Races.

Teams of eight blade-shear a sheep, spin the wool and knit a mans size jumper. The aim is to achieve this in under eight hours.
Venue: Omeo Community Hall, Day Avenue, Omeo

Fun day for the whole family. Activities include horse events, games, competitions, BBQ, bar facilities and raffle.
